Clean it with kerosene on rare occasion and use BelRay superclean.

 

I had been using that "Black Grit wax in a can" also , and I thought that my sprocket still had the paint up to the teeth.... I was wrong

But wont be the first time, apparently I was also using that "metal" part that they put behind the "pad" part of the brakes...

 

At the moment I only use a spray from Repsol, just a small tin with 150ml, so its very portable, means I give it a 30 second spray every time I swing a leg over the bird. I would prefer to fit a Scotoiler, but generally Turks sneer a lot when you suggest something sensible like that, they just say get a spray out. Anyway, on another note I read someone uses old oil for their scotoiler,got me thinking, I have a chain saw and a bucket load of chainsaw lubricant, seems a pity to waste it! Will it be ok on one of those gold coloured chains?

 

Hi guys, winter's ass is on it's way out and bike talk is back. The best chainlube I found is this swiss synth product, super adherent and barely leaves a mark...but a markless lube doesn't exist. Just bought 3 cans, I've been using it since 2002.

I think I can remember someone, somewhere mentioned a Dupont multi use lubricant that has worked very well for quite a few people on this forum.

 

I use the scottoiler eVers. since 1 year with the blue oil from kit and it works great.
