Put about 5K on it last year (which is not much, too hot, riding alone is not so much fun , etc). I'm heading back to the Smokies (South)June 3rd for a week. About 40K km,s on it since my purchase in 2007. So yeah , it's out there on the road. Must admit that having ridden the twisted asphalt down south that local riding somewhat pales ( I saw a curve once in southwestern Ontario...but it was a mirage!) . My daughter rides with me on a couple hot laps of the local roads, which at least is a reason to ride! . So don't think that clean means "hanger queen".

Back on topic. I noticed in very short order that there is a marked difference between the Michelin Pilot Road 2CT's and the Pilot Power 2CT's. The turn in is quicker (IMHO) on the Power 2CT's as compared to the Pilot Road 2CT's. There is a profile change between the two I think. The Roads present a flatter/wider contact patch and thus a slower turn in rate as compared to the powers more "Pointy" (for lack of a better description) profile. Note: I do not have a shim in the rear shock. The Pilot Power 2CT of 190/50 spec is only slightly larger in diameter then the stock 180/55 tire, but given the rim width ( if you run a wider rim) the 190 will fit for sure. I'll be on my second tour South with the Power 2CT's this year. Granted, mileage is not the driving force of this tire selection. I know I'll get lower mileage out of them,..but they should/could be very good miles when in the mountains! You can run almost anything on the flat lands (IMHO) if the intent is to flat spot them down the middle.

Thats okay had i got those rims the USD i now have would not have happened as the stock XX rim would not work with the Busa front end so in the end i saved money. Rims will find their way to me eventually. Its all part of the master plan!

I want to do the same but was your back rim 5.5 wide or 6.0
Hello Fellow Fighter Pilot! I did this to my first bird for a "hot minute". Grip was undeniable! But was a pain in the twisties! SLOW! Is all I can say! Even with 6mm chim steering changed(Heavy) and had to work extra hard to lean the bird! Got rid of them went back to 180.
