Today I had the rear wheel off to give things a clean also took the chain adjusters off to lube the screws and found the axle slots had worn grooves to a few places giving some movement up and down. Can’t say I’ve even noticed this before wish I had taken a picture now has anyone else had this?

No for me too...... sounds like the axle hasn't been done up tight (120Nm if I recall).
