Hey folks, I'm ready to let my 'Bird go... It's time for a change, and I've got a line on a V65 Magna to fill the void. Here's the deets (copied from my CL ad):

'97 Honda CBR 1100 XX BlackBird

Runs awesome, low miles, lots of spares. Pulls like a freight train! Rock solid at 100+ mph, super agile on the track, and all-day comfortable for touring.

Looks great and turns lots of heads. This is a fairly uncommon bike, and those who know it know it's an amazing ride.

Shoot me a PM or email to set up a time to check it out!

Pros:
1100cc
only 17,600 miles
Frame-off restoration
Subtle custom paint
75% tire tread - Continental ContiMotion
New chain, sprockets, SS brake/clutch lines
Totally cleaned and rebuilt brake calipers
Rebuilt brake & clutch master cylinders
Rebuilt carbs
Rebuilt forks (new RaceTech springs)
New front & rear wheel bearings
New choke & throttle cables
Tank cover (tank is dented)
Custom 4-into-1 exhaust header/Yoshimura muffler (sounds AWESOME!)
Buell foot pegs (1" drop for us tall guys; originals included)
LED turn signals/clear front lenses
Volt Meter with USB charging ports
Battery Tender lead

Includes:
2 sets of plastics (original and Chinese replica)
extra rear tire
extra set of carbs
lots of spare/original parts

The rules:
NO shipping.
NO checks or PayPal.
NO test ride without full payment in my hand. You drop it, break it, scratch/dent it, you bought it.
Cash only.

Re: 1997 BlackBird - Oklahoma City

did I miss the price?
you did not! i'm just dumb enough that i forgot it...

BUT, it sold yesterday, so that point is now moot. sorry for the confusion, and THANK YOU TO ALL for the advice, parts, and community i have enjoyed during my stay here. maybe one day i'll grab another 'Bird - until then, cheers, and keep the rubber side down!
