Why'd you use velcro (the fluffy side of hook and loop) on one side?
Thanks mate! Turn signals wrapping is fairly quick and easy! The prep work is what took most of the time. YES! Like the rear fender...Fender Extender "RUBBERIZATION"?
Like my first home made pair, that's foam to reduce mirror vibration. Once the two screws are in place it will be sandwiched pretty good and can barely see it... U really have to look for it.Why'd you use velcro (the fluffy side of hook and loop) on one side?
Gel should work! I presume as long as it in the shape you need or if it's form-able... It can be a bit challenging to get the right firmness of foam. That being said it's out there! I happen to have an assortment of soft to hard foam on hand. Any foam or gel on extenders can only make it better. But, I believe foam would make a better choice in this application. JMHO.Ruberisation and vibration damping foam. I get it. Neat ideas
I'm playing with little gel pads to take the rattle away from some mounted accessories (e.g. U-lock and Disc locks) in the hope it doesnt permenantly compress like some foams might.
It's a balance whethet I use foam or gel. Too hard a foam (yes more durable but more likely to transmit noise/ vibtrations) too soft a foam (less durable and prone to perm compress).
Hence now playing with gel next. Wish me luck (plus I may just have to foam up my mirror extenders too and see how much of a difference it makes).
