Hi Gang;
This post might have been put to "bed"; sort-of-speak...I have been researching various FORUMS and general research into fitting a lightly used CBR954RR Rear Shock or a CBR1000RR with probably upgrading the Spring (For my "stocky build" wt:225lbs..naked 😉 soft luggage bags and Leather Suit/Boots..etc)! I know quite a few of you put more money and higher quality Shocks, but I am not able to afford those costs (I am living with major disabilities)= no money..😔!! So, my question is, will a good quality CBR1000RR Shock be a good idea? P.S.- I did some Front Suspension mods: installed a pair of (Progressive Springs kits for my SBB, 12 wt Lucas Fork Oil and shims)....the only addition I want to add are High Quality "Pre-load Adjusters"!!

I've got DMr Applications – Honda – DMr Performance Suspension (daughertymotorsports.com) on mine. From a CBR954RR, an excellent upgrade. On the site, you tell Jamie your, weight(kitted up), style of riding and type of roads and he will fit a spring to suit. It'll be a refurbished unit but mines has been on now for 40K miles and is as good as the day I fitted it. It also comes supplied with an extension piece needed to get the length right.

I love my DMr suspension. Fully adjustable and he used a 954rr but he may use something else now. If you use the 954RR shock you will have to relocate the radiator overflow/expansion tank. It's in my Getting ready for a three week trip... or something like that titled thread.
