This isn't the Dragon's Tail. I never go near that unless early or late in the season or middle of the week or early/late in the day. There are so many roads just as good around there and south of there.
If you want to ride the Appalachian Mountain's from West Virginia down to Northern Georgia then get these maps. Perfectly pocket sized and all really good roads marked in red.

Or get the Freeman Map App for more general rides.

We rode the Devil's Hwy in Eastern Arizona. I think it's the 1st week in June. It is hwy 191 but it used to be US route 666. I don't think there will be one this year as Beestoy is recovering from getting in an accident on his Bird.
If you ever ride California, Washington or British Columbia then go to Destinationhighways.com those are wonderful!

Thanks XX, my bad about the ‘tail’…wrong part of country. I ride mostly w.PA and e.WV. Now that I’m retired I hope to get out more once the weather improves.

I was going to meet my buddy in Marlinton, WV on March 31 but now we are going to Northern Georgia because it will at least be breaking into the lower 60's for highs!!!! Marlinton was rain for a week then when we got there cloudy and hi of 42 for 4 days! Nope, I am to old for that. Heated gear or no heated gear. Can I do it? Sure... but why?
I'm retiring in 2.5 months. My buddy lives near Lancaster.
Then check out those America rides maps for your area.

“Why Ride”? Because we/you can! That’s the beauty of it. Lots of nice riding in the Laurel Highlands and along the PA-MD border…US 40 ‘scenic route’. Careful of potholes this time of year
