Moving on

Well, I have sold the BB after 10 yrs of a lot of enjoyment, interest and pride. I undertook a lot or maintenance myself on it with the forum helping me out if needed over the years with answers and tips.
It is by far the best bike forum I have been a member of. The quality of the advice, personalities and the signal to noise being of an excellent level have ensured reliable information and successful results. I have seen so many new members get efficient polite help and they have grown into knowledgeable owners who undertake their own maintenance too. So important in the age of manufacturers and their 'keep 'em dumb and they pay more' approach. Must have something to with the average median age of BB owners.
Next project may well be an '80s or 90's smaller bike with guts. In my more adventurous thoughts even an RD400 with chambers for the hoot factor! But maybe not. Or if there is a lottery win it will be a Moto Guzzi Mandello 1000.
I won't be checking in as much obviously. For old time 'shits and giggles' I will every now and then.
Just wanted to say thanks to all. Keep it up ya bunch of sausages!
cheers
Pete

Enjoyed your presence and I believe that I am one of those that has come a long way in the last ten yrs as a person who wrenches on their own bikes. This forum is a very good crowd for encouraging people. Sorry to see you go. Lately I am playing with a 2017 Super Tenere that's been flashed. Fun going on gravel and other non maintained back dirt roads.

Sorry to see you go Good sir. We will miss you and your helpful insights as well. Don't go to far you know the door will always be open and chair next to the fire available.
Hmm new project say you and maybe 2 stroke. What say you to a old H1 or H2. Possibly go as guy did and find your next fun ride in an offroad version.
I won't say goodbye good sir, instead soo you later.
Wow someone’s leaving the club when I’m just joining
One less Bird on the Mornington Peninsula. Or did you sell it to a local to carry on the legacy?
