What is the point of wanting to buy parts of a blackbird?

There are a couple of salvage blackbirds I'm looking at

The kind of parts that salvage bikes need are getting harder and harder to find. Often the best recourse is just an aftermarket full fairing set. I have a couple birds I'd consider selling, but am in the middle of hosting the north east USA XX meet right now, so I don't have them ready for sale immediately.

I'm in Pennsylvania, which complicates a transaction. Keep an eye out, they do pop up.
