It will unscrew from the footpeg hence the hex head section..... You can buy them from a wrecker if you want one on the other side - to act as a hold point for a bike cover 😄...

It was Honda's version of a lean angle sensor back then. Not necessary.... If you are a proficient rider 😉..... I use my boot to warn me I'm having fun...😆

PS if you look at the left peg, you'll probably see it's hero knob has broken off, and left the threaded section stuck in the peg.

As several others have pointed out, it is intended to give you a warning that you're about to lean the bike too far over, and if you look at the bottom of your left foot pet, you'll find that it used to have one too. Both mine are gone and have been for some time. It's not that I lean the bike that far over (I'm not nearly that good), but rather that they have a tendency to snap off rather than just grinding down. You can find the broken off tops of mine, still screwed into the bottom of the foot pegs.

Hi all, anyone knows if this pin hanging of the right foot peg has any use?

Is this a factory feature and what is it used for (if anything)?

I note there is none on the left side ...!
