hi Guys
the forum is very quiet now
anyway i had bought some chinky 24 mm adjustable footpegs
i tried them on the xx but they nearly fouled the kickstand
so i put them on my old cbr1000f ( fridge ) and adjusted the selector lever and brake pedal proportionately lower
so i looked for a simple and easy solution for the xx to gain about an inch
so here's how to do it
1 get a long 8 mm bolt ( about 20 mm longer than the oem pin
2 remove the pin and trial install the footpeg with the bolt with the fork of the peg lowered straddling the lower frame side fork
3 measure the end point of the bolt required to either put a nut on or to drill a cross hole for the cotter pin
4 drill as wished the cross hole ca dia 2.2 mm
5 cut off any excess length
and there its done

the peg will be about 1 inch diagonally down and back
so you will need to shift the gear lever down one spline
and shift the brake pedal down about 3/4 inch
this is done by undoing the clip locknut and winding it up and then winding the screw into the clip fork by about 4 turns
if you are 6 ft or over this will add some comfort

Thanks cbrpaul. Duh! I have been struggling with this. I have put many miles on my bird with a lowering kit on but lately I have been having the dreaded kickstand foul. I have been grinding down the peg and block with a cutoff wheel but I don't like it. Going to try your solution. I'm 6'6

the way i do it is not like the adapter kits from china and jaws uk that push out the peg by 3/4 inch and then lower by 1 inch so you in effect loose about 1 1/2 inch side cornering clearance
thr rotational axis of the peg remains the same as oem fitting and its just 3/4 inch lower and back so you loose maybe 1/2 inch clearance at the most
but remember you need to lower the shift lever and brake pedal proportionally of you have to lift your foot to get at it
