Hi again, today I took the plastic off my bike, removed the two longest bolts that threat through the slave cylinder and through the sprocket cover into the block, and I noticed both had wet residue on them, similar to clutch fluid. They both were pretty wet, not just moist, but wet. Now, I don't know if this is normal or not, so I thought I would come ask here.

I continued to remove the slave cylinder and the sprocket cover while keeping the cylinder attached, and cleaned out all the gunk, and half pulled the rod out to make sure that was also clean.

My question is, although I don't "see" any fluid leaking out of the slave cylinder, it seems that I might need a new slave cylinder gasket that attaches from the cylinder to the sprocket cover.

Would this small amount of leakage and vacuum loss (I presume), cause a significant decrease of clutch performance?

I really appreciate all of your help, I would have wasted a LOT of money paying someone else to diagnose and fix this problem where it seems I may get it done myself.

....it seems that one of the o-rings internal or external is leaking ...usually the outer is for the dust and the inner seals the fluid.....needs further maintenance....if you want to proceed make sure you have the o-ring set needed....havin the service manual is a must...
