Hello fellow fighter pilots! (In WWI IF you were lucky enuff to own/drive a motorcycle you were IMMEDIATELY recruited for fighter pilot training! Because like a plane, we use all four limbs to control our bikes!!) So made the change over from 1000F94 to XX! What a machine!!! Better version of 1000F. After "Hit & run" at start of 2017 riding season didn't have the heart or time to put anymore $$ into it and a year to heal!... Moving right along, I now have a 2000 XX(Best year!?) with 31KM. It came with Akrapovic Titanium 4 into 1 pipes with KnN filter and non installed undertail kit all for $4K. I'm the third owner and the bike is like NEW!!! On top of the 100% cosmetic and electrical make over/upgrades other small upgrades will be added. Like my ol CBR1000F94 THIS MAKEOVER IS GOING TO BE FUN & AMAZING!!! STAY TUNED! Love the German single seat kit. Unfortunately we can't get them here stateside. They won't ship across the pond. Had one come up for sale about 2 years ago and couldn't get it. Bird looks great.

Thanks! Amazing story behind seat! Owner lives in Alberta Canada(Had the bike shipped from Alberta to my location here in Quebec) and got a hold of a complete stranger(Biker) in Germany who spoke little english so German dude got a friend who understood english. And asked/begged! If he could buy it and ship it to him here in Canada! He agreed! And the rest is history! Funny... Now you have many choices to choose from but the original German seat is nice! There is one that has mini trunk! Another that has a mini cushion. Another looks like it was developed in a wind tunnel! With XX emblazened on it. ALL solo seats...
Once cosmetic makeover and upgrades are complete it will look ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! CHEERS!!! And be responsibly crazy!!

FWIW I would not put smoked lenses on the turn signals - motorists need every clue they can get to know you are turning - there may also be regulations too - if you do an undertail make sure that you lights are not the crappy little ones on most undertail kits - there are some really nice LED strips you could put back there for visibility - anything you can do to brighten up your tail is worth it.

Thanks Bach. Smoked lens will come with switchback bulb but I hear ya! Should be fine for regulations! And yes undertail has those kool/crappy little light and I'm sure it will be rare that I ride in that config! However with beetle bags installed won't be an issue due to LED strip on bags!

Hello fellow fighter pilots! Update for The New Monster!! Received all 26 powder coated parts including the rims. Looking REAL good! Now waiting on other painted parts! SO in the mean time will start to slowly assemble The New Monster! Will try to post pics in my album!! Stay tuned! 0h! And found new front rim from UK! At half price... UPDATE!!! PICKED UP 80% OF PAINTED PART ON JUNE 18 HOPEFULLY WILL BE DONE END JUNE.

OF SIMPLY ADJUSTING THE STOPPER HEIGHT.




RAD & OIL COOLER INSTALLED. ALSO PLACED SCREEN ON AIR HORN VENTS TO PROTECT FROM CRAP,
FAN BYPASS SWITCH ALSO INSTALLED TO KEEP HEAT DOWN IN STOP IN GO TRAFFIC. PLAN ON INSTALLING
A SECOND SMALLER FAN FOR A DUAL FAN SET UP... SIDE NOTE- THE GRILL ARE HELD IN PLACE BY
STEEL PIANO WIRE WEAVED THROUGH COOLING FINS. IF YOU MAGNIFY THE IMAGE AND LOOK CLOSELY
YOU'L SEE DOTS OF "TIE WRAPS". 30 PLUS ON THE RAD AND 18 ON OIL COOLER GOING HORIZONTALLY AND VERTICALLY.





PREPPING LEFT SIDE FOR VVIVID VINYL WRAP, FILLED HOLES WITH FOAM (10 MIN TO CLEAN OUT IF NEED BE) THEN A
THIN LAYER OF AUTOMOTIVE PLASTER THEN SANDED. CHAIN CLEANED, HUGGER INSTALLED ALONG WITH CABLE FOR
CHAIN OILER & BRACKET UNDER THE SWING WITH THE TUBE HOVERING JUST ABOVE THE CHAIN DEAD CENTER.

Wow, that is going to be some makeover.

2 things you might want to double check b4 you hit the road:

front fender may strike the camera if you hit a pothole and radiator grilles look a little restrictive, hard to tell exactly from the pic, but the bird definitely needs max airflow as she tends to run a little hot.

Front brake master cylinder and footpegs are gorgeous, well done.

In a similar vein to fizzy's first comment about the camera, also make sure that the air horn wont strike the front fender at full fork compression. I had that issue - lost a front fender and an air horn in one pothole strike....

I commend you on your work - that is some amazing attention to detail.

Lovinmycbr, It's gonna look awesome bro.

Thought for you. I have two dual tone airhorns (110dB each) mounted off the headlight mounting bolts inside the nose cowl (one each side of the headlight) .

No prob re fork compression as not located there. Well protected from the elements and road debris. Loud as a loud thingy of loudness! MoT complaint.

Just a thought. Soz, no pictures just yet (though soon due to take nose off on another tweak. Will post then).

Thank you Fizzy! Thought of that and have almost 8" clearance! BUT I'm thinking of moving it up so that it comes in contact with removable plastic plate. Will gain at the most 1/2" BUT could make all the diff! As far as the rad goes yes I feel ya! So I plan on installing fan bypass switch to hopefully fix that potential prob! Thanks again!

Thank you Gadgey! The RED cylinder is my CHAIN OILER! The front brake master cylinder is BEHIND it! : ) Can't take credit for foot pegs! Saw it on another Blackbird BUT he left it metal grey! Yup! Gonna watch out fro front cam. Thank you!

Thank you Leighb! Will keep eye out for front cam! Placed air horn as far up and back as possible! Bottom of the air horn is flush with the bottom of front cowling AND it doesn't rub against any cables! Well maybe 1! Lol .Think I'm good! Yeah I hear ya Leighb! Lost chrome trumpets on CBR1000F GONEZO! with one magical pothole! Alot of work! Should have started in November! Now basically waiting for painted parts. So stay tuned!

Thank You Mallow1! MMmmm double airhorns... Would like to see that set up! Though I can imagine it. I may just move it there! BUT I think I'm good! For now... Also thinking of a dual fan system, with bypass of course...

?? Your location for your horn looks very neat. Any concern re restricting airflow over the cooler behind it especially after installing your custom rad cover? I'm assuming your fan switch is only for the lower main water rad not the oil rad behind your horn.

Have a look at my dash project. The mini gear changer, replacement digital clock/ watch and TPMS may be of interest.

The pic is my current design mock up (Photoshop) showing full illumination. In reality most extra lights/ switches will be dark when not in use (so looking more "stock").

The clock is built (arduino project) and the mini gear display ready. Cruise control and voltmeter yet to be tackled.

All other parts are bought and awaiting installation.
