PLEASE READ THIS before sending funds for WTB items

This may seem obvious, but please be cautious when dealing with others and sending money for WTB items. Many members will help others here. Stuff gets sent all around the world from one member to another whether for money or for free and we don't want that to stop.

The site has a number of safeguards built in and we remove the obvious scams, but some are hard to spot. The forum welcomes new membership from anywhere in the world and we don't have a policy of vetting new members before they can join, post, etc.

Some methods of transferring money are more secure than others. If someone asks you to use a particular service, check on that service's website as to what safeguards are in place.

Of course, none of this is any help to someone after the fact. That's why we're posting this up. It's distressing to hear of this kind of thing and not be able to do anything about it.

The admins and mods must also stress that we are a forum and not a for sale/buy site, while we know that this happens. The buyer and the seller assume all responsibility for any transactions that commence on
CBRXX.com.

As an additional safeguard to the payment suggestions above we recommend that people don't enter into transactions (except maybe face to face) with members that only have a small post count or are newly joined

This post will be updated with scams as they are identified.

Widely distributed on motorcycle and gun forums

Hi and Happy Holidays,
I can help you with a lead. Please contact Jeff on [email protected] regarding your request. He is located in Nunnelly, TN 37137 USA and the last time we talked , he had for sale. I purchased items from him and they arrived in NEW condition as described and just right on time. His cell # is 931-257-7351. HE IS A TRUSTED SUPPLIER....
Edit
Further to the above scam - from another member of the Mod team
I would like to add one thing in regards to the above scam. It looks like a legitimate phone number, it's not. It is "bounced" through an internet server to who only knows where. This is the type of thing that career scammers and terrorist organizations use so don't bother calling to leave a nasty voice mail or hope you'll get a few choice words with the guy. You're just wasting money on your phone bill and actually risk having your own number stolen for use in a future scam.... or MUCH worse
