best air filter?

i have a 97 bird and i was wondering in everyones opinion what is the best performance air filter. i have only been able to find a few types so far other than stock. i was wondering which one is better or are they pretty much the same as far as performance? also are their any other filters or airbox mods to increase performance?

also is their any way to convert it to ram air? if so would it be worth it? the po tipped the bike over so i have to replace the fairings anyways

someone else mentioned that to me too. why not use a higher flowing filter (if they are higher flowing)? also have a d&d exhaust and considering using the dynojet jet kit if anyone thinks it will be worth it

I have a K&N, I have not had any issues with it or performance , but you have to ensure it is cleaned properly and lubricated with the K&N oil, no issue with it at all.

I have a K&N with 10 miles on it in the box yet if you want to buy it cheap. My 97 ran terrible with it from 5 to 7k rpms.

same as jafo I put a k&n on my 97 bird and it ran like a dog put standard back on and she flies

Stick with the oem,unless you have many modifications.

I've had the same K&N for 10 years. But I also have some mods.

Your also FI. Our vaccum operated slides on our carbies don't like K&N's.
