Never lost conscience through the entire ordeal.

Bad news. My healing has taken a left turn. My left leg has been really acting up. I've landed back in the hospital with a infection in my hip joint. We caught it very early so we'll see what ortho says tomorrow.
I thank everyone to date for the we'll wishes.
Ouch! Thinking of you, mate. I read above that the Neuro was happy with your spinal recovery which is great. I hope the hip infection is cleared fast and that you're back up and about again soon. Please take care!

Bit of a bummer but at least you've caught it early, hope you get on top of the infection and get moving forwards again soon.
Update it's a staf infection. They did a echo cardiogram to make sure my hearts good. Passed it flying colors. They did a PET scan to see if it's anywhere else. Haven't heard back on that one. But we caught it early so looking like antibiotics and I'll be cured.

Keeping fingets crossed I go home very soon. I'm getting antibiotics They put in a Pic line in my right arm. Left sciatica is still very sore and I may have lost ground on my PT. Sciatica is reacting differently now. It gets trigger differently. So I'm taking that as progress to being where it's supposed to be.
Good news also is that the blood clot that was in my left leg is gone. They checked both legs and they were clear.

I wish you the best as you continue to recover. Glad it was noticed early.
Glad you're home now, hospitals aren't my favourite place to be.

Rest up and get well soon (y)
Hurrah! All the best for continued recovery.

Haven't been to the forum for a while, but so happy to read your progress and that you're finally home. Wonderful. I hope your continued recovery will be less tricky.
Working as a prehospital physician I have seen all of the worst outcomes of bike crashes and I totally agree;

!! Always remember - and do wear the gear !!
It's a game changer and a life safer

Best wishes
