...... there is a fast idle 'wax' unit that holds the revs up around 2k (you will see it when you lift the tank one day), then it eases back to idle as the motor warms up, eg; by the time you put your helmet and gloves on........
I set my idle to approx 1200rpm (hot) as the BB can 'flame out' while doing a tight slow U turn like say in a parking lot (if you are a little slow pulling the clutch lever in and the motor loads up, it just cuts out and the bike wants to suddenly fall on it's face
