Hey Guys,
I bought my first bike this past summer which is a 2001 Honda CBR929rr. I knew it had problems but didn't care much when buying. I have a idle problem when in Neutral. I stays between 2000 to 3000rpm. When i put it in first gear it drops down to 1500rpm. I tried to play with the idle adjuster but the idle stays and doesn't change. Is there a right or wrong way to adjust the idle? What can i do fix the idle problem? In New Jersey there isn't that many motorcycle shops. The shops which do work on motorcycle they charge a arm and a leg. I would greatly appreciate if someone can help.

This isn't a 929 forum. Have you done a search for one. Reason I ask is if this is a normal problem they may already have the fix.
If not then does it stay at the high register all the time or does it drop once it warms up. Have you tried to adjust the idle down when it's first started and running. I'd try removing the throttle cables from the twist grip and see if they are hanging up the throttle blades.
