Hi all. Long time lurker. First time posting.
Recently acquired an ‘02 BB, one day after a wet weekend, found the front left calliper stuck on, so bit the bullet and got tearing it off. Bought the HEL kit and got to work. Full calliper overhaul fronts and rear, new fittings etc.
Hello everybody, I need to replace the sight glasses in the brake and clutch master cylinders; I have found some on internet from counterparts, although I don't know if the quality is good; does anybody have experience on this ? Where to buy? any advice would be precious. Thanks
My caliper is playing about, leaving marks on the old and brand new disc :( So I thought I'd buy a second hand caliper and make sure it's all working before fitting - I ride every day and can't afford too much time off the road.
So just wondering, I've seen plenty of pre 2005 calipers...
Not my sale but I found an interesting flasher module on eBay today. It flashes your brake light 4 times fast, 4 times slow, then stays solid whenever you hit the brakes. Good way to catch those cagers' attention. Here it is --> Brake Taillight Flash Rear Alert Light
Silly question I know, but my 'Birds brake pads are held in place by steel pins, these are removed with an allen key normally.
Now, to protect the allen head, I have little rubber studs, but a bike mechanic told me they were supposed to have screw in covers. Who's right then? Is it dependant on...

My front brakes are squeaking and dragging on the rotor. The pads probably need to be replaced, but why are they dragging?
I'm going to look around to get the work done this week. Anyone else have experience with the pistons not fully retracting in the calipers? :huh:
