I have an 01 blackbird I just bought and when I ride it and use the rear brake only it locks up but if I use the front only the rear brake doesn’t lock up, it is still linked, the brakes were bled, and the caliper is new with new pads, is it possibly my secondary master or the rear master?

Silly question I know, but my 'Birds brake pads are held in place by steel pins, these are removed with an allen key normally. Now, to protect the allen head, I have little rubber studs, but a bike mechanic told me they were supposed to have screw in covers. Who's right then? Is it dependant on...

Hello CBRxx Folks, My front brakes are squeaking and dragging on the rotor. The pads probably need to be replaced, but why are they dragging? I'm going to look around to get the work done this week. Anyone else have experience with the pistons not fully retracting in the calipers? :huh:

I'm thinking about de-linking my brakes on the XX. Has anyone tried using brake calipers from other bikes (without linked-brakes) to rid of the linked brakes system on the XX? :confused:
