New Z8 and Chinese brake pads fitted,

Put my new Z8 on the Bird yesterday, Pads are down so decided to change them out too,

A while ago I bought some el cheapo brake pads from China, $28-00 a complete set, delivered, 6 pads,
    Semi Sintered pads,
As a trial and error thing, I put them in the rear of the Bird,
Went for a 180 kay ride yesterday,
Lo and behold, Im still here and the pads worked flawlessly,
No squeeks, No falling to bits or out of the bike and they actually stop the bike,
Top piccy is the HH pads I took out and bottom is the new Chinese pads I put in the Bird,

They also match my el cheapo rear wavy disk I have had in the Bird for about 40,000 kays, That was $45-00 delivered,
It hasnt rusted or fallen to bits either,

    Very Impressed,

Just monitor closely. I know some good stuff comes out of China, but I also know for a fact that some shit definitely comes out of China.

Re: New Z8 and Chinese brake pads fitted,

i bought some china pads and the composition is ok but they were made too thick and caused the calipers to bind
i had to sand off about 1.2 mm of material to get them to float
oem spec is ca 8 mm thick for the pad inc the metal plate
    so beware
