Pro Oiler - What chain oil to use?

What to use for chain oil

I have the pro-oiler to install and have been wondering about oil.

Waaaaay back in the days of my 2stroke race days we used castor oil, worked so well you had to machine it off metal.

Any knowledge about using it for the chain??

Been shaft drive so long I don't remember chains well.

I believe the manual recommends gear oil, 80wt., I think. If you have the owners manual it will say for sure.

    I use a cheap 20/50 engine oil.
works fine and doesn't attract to much dust and dirt

+1 on this... But mine's closer to 15w45... since I mix the leftover 10w40 with the leftover 20w50 (for the Duc)... works like a charm and it's "free".

I'm using Mobil 1 80-90 gear oil in my Pro-Oiler.
