    Fusar helmet cam

Anybody seen this - Fusar. Over on my VFRD site we have an early bird group buy going on. Heres the link to the discussion thread. Wtf Is A Fusar? Group Buy - Electronics - VFR Discussion. Further down the thread the CEO of Fusar posts some answers etc. Potentially this could be a great bit of kit.
Ordered one for myself (love gadgets)

    Re: Fusar helmet cam

They started out with a helmet with all the goodies in it, most of them, in the beginning. I signed up to be an early adopter. The last email I got was "you've been picked yada yada yada.....". Then a few months later I've been getting a steady stream of emails to buy their helmet add on's for about half price.

I think I will look at the Sena 20 a bit closer as it does what I want for less. The Fusar system is new. They have been working on it for a while. Not sure, cause I haven't been that interested yet, of what they really have. Sounds like they have put sometime and money in it big time. I do have other info but can't post it here for some reason.

    Here's their xmast email:
This came from [email protected] so you may want to drop them a line or go to their site.

    This holiday season
    we wanted to show
    how well Mohawk functions
    while out in the snow.

    We gave one to Santa
    and some of his elves.
    They're testing the system
    before it's on shelves.

    The BRC's hung
on the sleigh grips with care
in the hopes that they'll soon
    have some HotShots to share.

    Our F7 headset
    is in Santa's cap,
    so he can contact the
    North Pole in a snap.

    A prototype Mohawk
    is ready to ride,
    and record several hours
    of reindeer backside.

    Of course crash detection
    will work the whole way,
    in case Santa happens
    to high-side the sleigh.

    We'll relate what he says
just as soon as we hear,
    but for now season's greetings
    and Happy New Year!

    -The Fusar Team

    Re: Fusar helmet cam

I originally bought in to this as one of the very first backers for IIRC $240 for the full system. Received the bluetooth headset and handlebar control back in August. Headset is fine but the handlebar control is too bulky, it impedes on the bar too much forcing you to hold towards the end of the bar. The app has been out for a few months now with different upgrades each time. The latest one asks you to pair the camera so it looks like its due soon. Had the following email from them 10 days ago.
As an early backer i hope to get mine soon.

    Hello Ade
The ‘FUSAR: The Universal Smart Helmet System’ team just posted:

    1 new Announcement:

    Homestretch!

First and foremost, we want to thank everyone for your continued loyalty and support in making the world's first universal smart helmet system a reality!

When we began shipping the F7 Bluetooth Headset and Handlebar Remote Control in July, we knew the FUSAR Camera wouldn't be far behind. Now we're on the homestretch and delivery is in sight!

    Watch on Vimeo
As we prepare to shift to full-scale production, we are conducting a number of important tests to make sure the FUSAR Camera exceeds your expectations. We're testing everything from general usability and photo/video quality to waterproofing and crash-worthiness. We're also making sure our crash detection capabilities are fully dialed in so that it works properly when it needs to. We're happy to report that the test results have been extremely positive across the board.

We have received lots of helpful feedback from our testers and their insights provided us with an opportunity to make some important enhancements that will make your FUSAR experience even better. Some of these include:

Manually adjustable rear mount (replacement for spring mount)
NanoSuction adhesion material on the bottom surface
Wider 160-degree FOV lens (upgrade from 140-degrees)
16MP Sony image sensor (upgrade from 12MP)
Faster auto-pairing with Handlebar & Wrist Remote Controls
Enhancements to the UI in the FUSAR app to improve usability
Implementing these product improvements, coupled with the extensive testing we are conducting, has forced us to make some minor changes to the delivery schedule. The very first units are on track to begin shipping to our early Indiegogo backers this year, and we expect that we will have the first 1,000 units delivered in very early 2017. We recognize that some of you backed us on Indiegogo almost a year ago and we take our commitment to you very seriously. You helped us get this far and we're going to deliver a quality product that you will appreciate for years to come. We are dedicated to ensuring a great customer experience and our Customer Service team is standing by if any of you have questions about your order.

We truly appreciate your patience and we cannot wait to show you what the future of action sports technology looks like.

    Ride Smart!

    Name: Gareth Walker
    Order #: 164
    Shipping Group:

Anyone familiar with manufacturing in China knows how challenging it can be to communicate with overseas vendors during Chinese New Year. Fortunately, we will be producing our first run of FUSAR Cameras right here in the U.S.A. - Texas to be specific. A number of our engineers are in Texas meeting with our camera manufacturer this week and we expect to have clear ship dates when they return. We will follow up with the approximate ship date for your group as soon as that happens. A full schedule will also be posted to our blog.

    Best regards,

Headset is a good fit but the volume is not enough for me. Maybe because since earlier updates to google Android, they chose to not let you have excess volume. I've tried other music apps but it will not go any louder.
The remote doesn't work fully with the headset yet.

Using my cardo but haven't had the chance to try it linked to another rider. I bought the remote switch as well mainly for the camera control. I have used the route mapper a couple times and it's a bit to get used to. Guess ill start using it more to familiarize myself to it. My cardo is the G9x so its earbud capable. So that fixes the volume issues.

    Re: Fusar helmet cam

Well we are STILL waiting on the camera. Nearly two years since i bought in on this. Looks like it could be another two b^^^^y years! Loads of "exciting news and updates"
    Update today was

    Dear Loyal Supporters,

    WE HEAR YOU.
We know the delay in production of the camera is frustrating, but we are not leaving you in the dark. Here is an update on what is happening with production.
    d81d843c-ee22-4b9d-95c4-1ed77741687f.jpg
    1. The plastic housing has been finalized and all steel tools have been cut. It was critical that we get the design of the steel tools right so that we can confidently produce a high-quality product.

    2. The electronics inside have been revised a number of times and are fully functional, but still need to pass FCC testing before we can begin production. When we built the handlebar remote this process took rounds of submissions before we gained the appropriate approval. Unfortunately, there is some red tape we need to work through in this process. We're confident that our experience with the remote will help us navigate the process more efficiently this time around.

    WE ARE GROWING.
In the meantime, our digital team has been working on V2 of the Fusar app, which is now in beta testing. As you know, our user base is growing as is demand for our integrated system. At Fusar, our goal is to always remain at the forefront of technology, safely ahead of the competition. We are confident that this new version of our app will prove to be an enhanced experience for current users, with easy adoption for future users. The app will be available to everyone by Thanksgiving 2017.

So, that's where we stand. We've been pushing hard on several fronts and we apologies for the delay in delivery. Rest assured that we are moving forward.

As always, customer service is our biggest priority. You can contact us anytime and we'll happily answer more questions you may have. Please email [email protected], find us on Facebook or Twitter (@fusartech), or call us at 1-844-443-8727 to chat with a FUSAR Customer Care team member anytime Monday through Friday from 9am-6pm EST.

Thank you for riding with us,

However this looks interesting. Anybody know anything about it?

    Re: Fusar helmet cam

I bloody knew it!!!! Screwed! Bang goes my investment.

    Dear FUSAR community,

Many of you have been reaching out to inquire about the status of the camera, so we would like to provide an update on where things stand.

Over the last year and change, we have worked diligently to finalize the device and release it for mass production. This has been an intensive process from a development standpoint as well as a financial one. We endeavored to create an entirely new experience for riders and it has been a costly journey. Despite our best efforts, we have been unable to raise the capital necessary to complete the camera project. Unfortunately, as of now this means the camera project is officially on hold while we continue to look for further financial and production options.

We are currently working with our investors and advisors to determine the best path forward for all parties, including our Indiegogo backers.

In seeking capital or other alternatives, including M&A, we cannot offer refunds at this time. We understand that this is a difficult and frustrating situation for all, including our team.

While we sort things out, we can assure you all that the FUSAR app and supporting hardware will continue to function.

We would like to thank every member of the community for the support you have shown our team so far and we apologize for failing to deliver the entire suite of products we set out to make. We are working hard to determine the best path forward and will keep you all posted as developments occur.
