Motorcycle Drag Racing This Weekend - Online & Free

You'll see ProSportbike, Outlaw, and a variety of other classes. Outlaws going 6's on a 7" slick and street legal 60" ProSportbikes going into the 7's. There are some ads, but that's why it is free. They just ran a Qualifying round and a couple of friends of mine run the ProSportBike on NLR powered Hayabusas and they went within .004 of each other at 7.77 each. Dimey Eddinger and Jason Miller are the guys to watch for. Velocity powered Steve Jester, Anthony Navarro, and ProStreet champion (in two classes) Mike Slowe are out there as well.

This will be the last year for turbos in Outlaw (I know, I know.. don't ask.. I was converting my chassis over for that class) so Rodney Williford (also NLR sponsored with Pro1 behind him) is looking to set the records at both ends at 6.9-something at over 200 MPH on a 7" slick. He will switch over for the new class called Xtreme which will be starting out next season. (Waiting for rules, I plan on attending at least a few, $$ and time off work pending.)

This is the series that is redefining motorcycle drag racing out east. They are making room for older machines, newer technologies, and multiple power adders to make for something for everyone. They have extreme gaming style motocross jumping, bikini contests, and jet powered motorcycles as parts of the show. If you live out east and get a chance, make sure you check into this series!

I should also add that there is plenty of room in Quick32 or either of the ET classes for people to learn the sport and get bitten by the bug. I went out to help get the RPV stuff going and check out some racing and had the best time I have ever had at a drag strip.

They have interesting rule balancing techniques by weight, power adder, clearance, and wheelbase. This is the most diverse racing series out there for motorcycles. More info, if you are interested: MiRockRacing.com

The RacePerView is something that may redefine the sport by bringing it to the Internet for free viewing. The more people who watch it gives them feedback that this approach is good for the advertisers and will hopefully keep it coming. (This helps the racers too as they can get their sponsors airtime too.)
The least expensive way to increase the performance (HP, handling, etc.) is to sell your XX then go and buy a ZX-14, a new liter bike, or, *cringe*, a 'busa. If, however, you wish to stay with your beloved Blackbird, be prepared to spend a silly amount of money to end up with less than stellar results...unless we're talking about adding a turbo.

They're checking referers and only allowing links from certain sites it seems.

Eliminations are running today - it is cold (50ish) and they are having to turn down the power on some of the 60inchers to keep from wheeling. We may see a 7.sixtysomething out of one of them.

Rodney Williford went 6.91 last night, apparently, which is the quickest a no-bar bike has ever gone in the 1/4 to date. AMAZING performance from a ~450 HP machine.

This is in Rockingham, NC? Didn't they get hit with all the rain that I'm getting here? (I'm about an hour from the track.)
