grew up behind my Dad on CB750s then he bought a goldwing in 75, 79, 82 and when I turned 20 in the US Navy (6 Yrs) I bought a standard 84 wing and put 112K on it and still own it. Bought a 91 Wing SE model put 70K on it and sold it. Rode a CBR in 92 in CA. and wanted one since. Just straight roads in IL though. Bought a 2012 wing April 1st 2012 (and tumbled it down I-80 after hydro planing the front tire when I hit a pool of water at 0530 8-25-15. Got it up and drove it 500 miles to home with parts flapping and the insurance totaled it and I went to the chiropractor for a month) put 27,000 miles on it and spring (2013) bought a 2001 1100XX with 7093 miles on it. I have really wanted an XX since they came out. Especially a Glory Red one as I love the color. Wanted FI too. So when I heard of one with 7000 miles and stuff on it and he only wanted $3500...I went over and gave him the $3500. He was surprised I didn't try and talk him down. I responded...You have taken excellent care of this for me and you deserve it. Thank You! (plus it was already lower than market value) Married 35 (2018) years. 5 kids. Just (2013) bought the 18 yr old #1 daughter a 1985 rebel. put bags, back rest and luggage rack, PIAA sport lights and a LED tail/brakelight to augment the stock one. The 16 yr old (#2) daughter saw the BB and said...Hey Dad, is that my bike? No! She wants a CBR 250. 16 yr old is now 18 (2015) and I bought her a NC700X ( a 2012). She loves it. Took her out west on a 3000 mile trip in 2015. Had to replace the Wrecked 2012 wing so bought a 2007 ST1300A for $6000 with 28,500 miles on it. Might stay or it might go. I gotta play on it for a while and then keep it or give it to the #1 daughter so I can give #3 daughter the tricked out Rebel. #3 will be 16 this summer (2016). September 2017...The #2 daughter went to Honduras for 18 months on a proselytizing mission for church so the 17 yr old boy got his license and is riding her NC700X. He once told me he would never ride on the dangerous. He loves it. Here is a link of my wife after getting her 76 TA back after not having it for 16 years due to a shop not giving it back for that long. had to get lawyers involved then I had to work on it.
January 2017 bought a 2012 NC700XD for the #1 daughter for $3800. It's lowered, had bags and other stuff on it and I took back the Rebel. Now #3 daughter has polished it up, and she is riding now. Did 6800 miles on the BB in
