    Hiss issues

    Morning all.

I've been a blackbird owner for a long time and a member of this forum for as long as I owned this bike.

Please help. This will be the third ecu I will have to buy because of hiss failure. Don't want hiss any more.

Please help me remove it. I'm not employed, so I cannot spend any money fixing it.

    Please help.

    Thanks

    Re: Hiss issues

I believe the Hiss and and ECM are matched. U would have to have a non Hiss ECM in order to remove Hiss.

Then u say u have no money so recon your stuck for now.
    Good luck.

    Re: Hiss issues

I have never heard of an HISS failure, there are many ECU's with Fault 25 (knock sensor) that by most accounts work nomally, I personall have 2

There are also videos on youtube showing how to disable HISS, you can also reprogram keys etc

But I say again - never heard of an HISS failure - weird to say the least

shawnec what are the symptoms of your "HISS failure"?

STex, yes they are matched, a US spec ECU may work.

I bought this bike with the wrong model ecu. Was an ecu for a 99,00. Sold that one to a friend. It worked perfectly. His still using it. Think he sold it.

Bought an ecu from a shop in a another town. Was send to me. Plugged it in and would not start the bike. Sent it away to be tested. It was faulty. Oke send me two more but they had the same issue. Wouldn't start the bike and got very hot.. He eventually refunded me money.

Bought one in the Uk. Received it and it wouldn't start the bike. Had a fat fight with the guy from uk. He wanted to return my money. I said no. I wanted him to test one and then send it to me. That worked. Till i had a charging issue. Swapped some wires around mistakenly blew that up.
Bought this last one. Bike been standing for year and a half due ti respray. Now bike want start. Checked the diagnostic between the hiss sensor the ecu and it says that there is a communication error between the hiss ring and ecu.

I just want to get rid of it. I been through the mill with this ecu stuff and hiss.

Videos on YouTube don't have the same system as mine. I haved checked out all of them. Juat not the same.

Please if you help me, pm me or if you have a d52 to sell at a very good price, please let me know.

    Thanks

    Thanks guys.
