    Hi Wayne,

Yep they are. A quick google will throw up plenty of "used" on fleabay and "new" via the likes of partzilla, fowlers, david silver etc. You can even just by the label by itself or the cap with or without label!

Personally I tend to refer to the suppliers of "new" first to look at their diagrams for my exact BB version. That gives me the correct part number for my bird (and a price reality check) to then look for "used" cheaper and being able to verify against an accurate part number.

For a rad cap however I personally would play safe and buy new (as you don't know if used will bed down to a proper seal with the proper spring pressure to seal/ release or not depending upon its life story… it's a punt).

This has got to be one of the most overlooked maintenance items. Rad caps die slowly, I'm willing to bet the majority of you need one and don't even know it. Had mine pressure tested last year, it was 13 lbs. Was a little hard to diagnose since I'm only drag racing but seemed to be taking longer to warm up. Don't buy cheap ones, I went original. I have no problem with Napa Stex, just make sure it's not made in Mexico or China. Arctic Cat uses Mexican made rad caps, I replace dozens of them every year at work, some machines are only 1-2 yrs old.

Are you certain the cap is your source of not pressuring up? It ought to relatively easy to test for a leak (soapy water thru to hissing/ steaming). Could just as easily be a split hose or incorrect hose clip etc.

Anyway, good luck with the diagnosis and cure (if simple as cheap fleabay cap thru to full rad replacement though best eliminate hose and clip related alternative sources amongst others etc before rad replacement if it ain't the problem).

if you bought an aluminium radiator then use your original OEM cap, you might have to bend the tabs up slightly to get it on - I did this and it works fine
