Birds registered up to 07 plates (UK) are chargeable. 08 registered Birds are exempt. Been checking with some other Birdies. But a 2008 plate Bird is a 2006 when they stopped making them?

    Re: ULEZ Certificate of Conformity

Should clarify, they are only not exempt if you use the ULEZ checker. Otherwise as you say Kris once you get the COC they are. Still

London prepares for launch of ultra-low emissions zone

“The charge will be enforced using number-plate recognition and the
DVLA database, which includes every vehicle’s emission standards.”

...Might be worthwhile giving them a shout, rather than using the London checker...

...or are they one and the same?

DA- see prev comment. If the info isn't on your log papers, it's not on the database. This is the problem.

Sound analysis from you as ever, KB2, but maybe that’s where the CoC comes in.

“They” would never accept the word of individual owners that their bikes
complied with emissions restrictions — but manufacturer verification would
seem to be acceptable to the powers-that-be.

    Screenshot 2019-04-07 at 21.24.15.png

Based on what I see in the acknowledgement e-mail from TfL, I’ll wait until close of business tomorrow to see whether the database has been updated.

It might require a concerted effort from all BB riders — even the whole of the biking community — to ensure that motorcyclists are not penalised without just cause.

Should be interesting next Friday in central London. Rolling Thunder Ride for soldier F? 11000 bikes apparently descending on London.
