It looks close and would be a nice looking conversion although I'm guessing if you wanted new rather than finding one from a breakers it would be very expensive? .

I appreciate this is an old thread but it's been on my mind since I read it.

So I got a cheap top yoke from the bay to physically test it.

I'm glad to say that it fits perfectly, although the forks popping out the top might prove to be a clearance problem, I can't test that as you can see I don't have the handlebar saddles or a handlebar for that matter.

Perhaps this set up would open up options for some of the shorter 43mm forks to be used, as you could surely drop the forks through the clamps by 37mm without the clip ons on?

Why are they so low on your forks. Looks like a lot of forks sticking out must turn sharp and lean forward quite a bit?

It is sitting at the same height as the stock unit, 37mm of fork protrusion for the clip ons to clip on to.

I haven't fitted it permanently, just slid it on to see if it fits.

In that case you could afford to lift it abit putting the forks through abit to give you some clearance. I have had my clipons only half attached before sticking over the of fork ends but didn't trust them not to come loose at 299 lol. Thanks for the ideas like to see the finished product.
