    Intermittent noise coming from engine/gearbox/clutch

I have a strange noise coming from either my engine/gearbox or clutch on the blackbird. Best way to describe it is like a rattle snake noise but intermittent when in neutral?? I knownuts a bit vague?? When i had it in the shop for a service it didn’t do it! Typical. But got it home and started doing it again. Cant notice it while riding. Depressing the clutch doesn’t make any difference to when it occurs. Any help much appreciated.

Roll the rpm up to 3000 and listen for it if its there then increase to 4000 and if it settles out or goes away that's typical CCT going away. It can also present itself at idle but for some reason it's prevelant at the above range when it's failing

sounds like a partly shagged cct mine had the same noise now all quiet on the western front
you can get then on the bay and change it in about 15 minutes
you will need the little winding up key to retract it before entry
