Ok finally had time to lift the rear of tank.
Ran the fi fault memory and got
7 coolant temp sensor
9 air intake temp sensor
11 speed sensor
Also took off the vacume for the fpr
Bike hasnt been used for a few days but a definite smell of fuel and if you dab the metal pipe on the fpr with finger tip it drips fuel.
Oil level remains same
No fuel smell in oil.
Trying to find my meter to get readings from coolant sensor.
Not found the other 2 yet
Green/blue wire on the block that connects to gague when earthed as manual states changes from C to less than 1/4 on gague. Manual said it should jump to H?
The omh reading between the 2 top sensor contacts give a 003 reading.
Not 100% sure im doing it right lol
The voltage check on the coolant sensor plug both came back fine
Well it is all in bits now.
As i couldn't find a definitive test for the FPR i just replaced it with a 2001 one for the slight increase in preasure.
Doing a plug, oil, oil filter and air filter change while im under the tank. Also a coolant change.
I hope to put the original fan back on and change the wiring back to normal.
All the sensors checked out as they should but i still cant get the temp gague to test as manual states.
Just hope once it is back to gether it runs better. As anything else is likely beyond me.
Suggest you put it all back together, clear fault memory and see what then comes up. Could be worth checking the plugs into the ecu are tight as well, and that ecu is securely strapped down. If still no joy, maybe check if loom fix been done and if not, Try that to eliminate it from the equation
