    Where do these pipes go

Lifted the tank today and seen these two pipes, where are they supposed to go?
Also having trouble Trying to take the petcock out, seems like the filter won't come out past the hole, is there some sort of way to do this?

They go right were they are they are carb vent lines. Just keep the ends tipped down like they are.

The prefilter housing looks distorted it should just slide down and out. You may have to rock it free.

Ok thanks for that I'll keep at the filter, also there are two holes at the back of the airbox, is that normal? I'll attach a picture, you can see my finger in the one I'm on about

No there is a missing piece somewhere. Those holes are going to allow unfiltered air into the carbs. I'm not near my manuals till tomorrow. But I'll take a look then. Suspect it's some sort of ported valve that would normally set in the recess of that rectangle area.

Nothing attaches to those two holes, but there is supposed to be a foam filter that sits in there. Not sure if they are available now, I cut my own from a car washing sponge.

You can see it if you look through these pics https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1998-Hond...frcectupt=true

Ok so the 2 side holes are for oil drain off from the crankcase mist I am thinking the center should have the crankcase breather tube plugged in the center port then correct? I see it in the manual and yes it's a foam filter element that sets in that pocket and open on the side inside the airbox.

Pretty sure that If you look inside the top of the airbox - it forms a sealed box around that little foam filter
