98 TITANIUM Blackbird
Well, I got my ECM back from Carmo with an advisory to change the fuel cut off relay as this was the cause of my ECM fault. So armed with a new relay I fitted both to my bike and the fuel pump primed but the battery didn't have enough power in it to turn the engine over even though it was on a trickle charger. I bought a new battery and fitted it then the alarm decides to pack in and refused to switch the immobiliser off. Changed the alarm battery and still it won't play ball. It costs a fortune to get an alarm specialist to look at it and even more for them to remove the alarm. So armed with a newish loom I rip the alarm out and the existing loom, install the replacement loom, switch the ignition on and the fuel pump primes - hit the starter button and Boom, she starts second push of the button and runs on all four. I now have a couple of wiring issues in that the fan does not work when the engine gets really hot, fuse is fine, and the fuel gauge doesn't work but I do have a bit of mismatched wiring between the two looms to sort out as the replacement loom is apparently from an 04 bird even though I was advised it would fit but am very happy that she is running again.
Great news. Just be patient and maybe look for a uncut stock harness.
Route 191 formerly Route 666 Some say that this section of the
road has 1100 curves in 95 miles.
Got my wiring sorted by a friend from another Blackbird forum and the fan and fuel gauge were working fine until half an hour ago. Changed the oil and filter, went to warm her up and circulate the new oil, turned the key, pressed the starter, engine turned over and nothing, no fire. Switched off and on to confirm fuel pump was priming and nothing no fuel prime. Same problem as before no voltage output where there should be. Just waiting for a reply from Carmo.
