    Need Help Identifying Exhaust Parts

Hello everyone! My friend has run across some exhaust parts in a house that were left by the previous owner and he asked me if I could help identify them. I think they are from a '97-'01 Blackbird XX 1100.

I have attached some pics to help with identification of these parts, but HM MAT E2 E13 is stamped into the header and also on both can/muffler. Can anyone confirm that they did in fact come off of a '97-'01 Blackbird and does anyone know what the year span is that they will fit? I couldn't find any other part number on the header besides the HM MAT E2 E13, but on the can/muffler it says Sankei 2338. Does anyone know if 18150-MAT-A01 is the correct Honda part # for the manifold

Does anyone know what the approximate value is on this stuff?

I also have some body parts that he ran across that I will need help identifying, but will put those up in a seperate thread.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Need Help Identifying Exhaust Parts

Looks very much like a Super Blackbird exhuast system to me. One point of identification is the arrangement of the pipes going into the collector. The early mk machines 97-98 differ from the 99? or 2000 and up. A search will turn up this info as to what pipes are paired and there arrangement in the collector. In North America the systems are inter-changeable across all years. I in fact have a late model spare system for my early (1998) machine, just in case. This spare system was destined for the garbage had I not taken it. To put the later system on a early machine it has been stated that the torque curve/range changes and the power-band becomes somewhat wider for the early machines. I also believe that the material make up of the systems changed, with the later units going to a stainless steel material make up rather then the mild steel (?) of the earlier machines systems. All this info and corrections to my "off the top of my head" comments are here on site.

edit: Your pictured system looks to be a late model set to me. Stainless pipes in use. My 1998 stock system does not have that "heated stainless" patina as yours.

Yes those are from a 99-02 CBR 1100xx... they will fit a carbie (97-98) though...

I may want to buy the system for the right price....Pm me with other parts you have...I just bought another wrecked bird and need some parts...
