    Left lower fairing screw

Hi all, the left lower rear fairing screw/bolt/whatever has been missing since I got the bike. Is there a secret as to how i can replace it? I can't get my hands in the recess, ( near the top of the kick stand), and apart from having an arm transplant from a marmoset monkey, all i can think of, is a cable tie ( and I'd have trouble getting that off)!

It's just a small allen bolt that goes in from the outside with a nut on the inside (washers on both side). It's a bit tight but not a big problem to get it in place.

From the factory, it's one of those little black plastic push pin type clips you have in other parts of the fairing. It's not a bolt. But in saying that. Mines gone, the hole is flogged out a little and i gave up using a bolt. Noth'n there now

Didn't know that. Think i stick with the allen bolt though as I imagine it will be a nightmare to get that clip out of there one's fitted.

    Re: Left lower fairing screw

The push pin is a better option IMHO. I use needle nose pliers that have a 45degree bend in them. Makes removal and replacement easy peasy. For some reason I like the idea that the push pin will fail (I hope) before the fairing panel will break, in any sort of incident. I expect an incident that would require a panel tearaway might be catastrophic of course but......

Was it the normal pin as used in the fairing? Same Size? The hole looks far to big too me. Mines just loose. I know others have used sacrificial cable ties.
