    Temperature

    Can anyone help me .my temperature on my dashboard fluctuates. Its stays stable for some minutes but goes into the red zone . The fan is working correctly ...switches of and on. When the clock is in the red zone and i switch of / on my contact. ..surprice...IT stays in the middle out of the red zone. Water is not boiling. My bird is from 99 ,injection,analoge dasboard.the problem Comes and go.....but i have to Trust what i see. Any ideas?

    Check main switch contacts for corrosion. Then check all of your grounds for corrosion. Let us know what you find and we'll go from there.

    Update : I have placed an extra temperature gauge in my cooling water hose to check. The temperature remains between 92 and 98 degrees Celsius. Occasionally the original temperature gauge jumps into the corner while the external temperature gauge remains stable. I'm sure it's on the dashboard.

    Duck had a similar problem, fuel gauge though i think. Im sure he will answer.
