    Electric r/r problems

Hi all, when riding home from work , all was fine till I went around a bend , tacho went off, speedo when’s off, headlight also & at a quick glance appeared all warning lights illuminated, bike still running ok then 100 yrds or so down the road came back on again , then off then on again. Any ideas much appreciated

First step check battery terminals. Are they clean? loose? Go from there. Carby or injected?

Injection model , battery terminals ok, problem is it’s fine now, I had an r1 years ago and from what I remember similar problem of clocks going off then a short time later bike coming to a stop which did turn out to be r/r, can the r/r be intermittent?

Very good possibility. If the female side of that connector loosens up it'll create a resistance that can cascade into a full failure. Or it could become intermittent. There is a locking pin inside the connector housing if you slide a thin pick in there you can bend it down and remove the connector. Then you can visually inspect it and actually bend it closed a little to tighten the contact between the 2 connectors. Then just carefully bend the lock tab back up and slide it back into the housing.
