I was driving towards Clinton on Hwy525 today, shortly after Bayview, and saw a black XX with beetle bags pulled over by two...two...police cars.
Was it anyone here?
I'm assuming the leos weren't just admiring the bike.

I was down that way to Port Townsand a couple of weeks ago but not me this time. I make sure to never get stopped when in the USA. We were in the G but it is black. I'll have to check for where 525 is. I just travel down 20 to KeyStone and the ferry landing.
525 and 20 are basically the same thing. 20 heads off to the ferry and over to the peninsula, 525 continues to Clinton and that ferry.
It's gotta be difficult to ride this bike on Whidbey. I have a difficult enough time driving there. The speed limit is 55mph and everyone seems to struggle just to go that fast, most go 55 or less. In a car, I have to suffer, but on a bike, I'd be tempted to pass and pass quickly at any available location.

9500xi and listen for "KA, Ka" band. I like that road but true, not overly fast. It's better to go East on 20 through the North Cascades, Winthrop, Twisp, and meet up with 97. I've done that many times but there are also smokies. #20 is the best way to get to the Olympic Pen. from BC unless one takes a ferry from Victoria to Port Angeles. The ride around the Olympic down to Astoria is a good one(101). Cheers
If you don't have www.destinationhighways.com Washington, I recommend it. At least the map as both can be pricy. There was a bad accident on 20, Whidbey Is this weekend, a BC father was killed, hit by a truck. Alcohol involved, not him.
When I first bought my Bird, down Whidbey to the ferry was my first long trip. I realized on that ride I needed to raise the bars. I love riding in Washington! I love traveling in the good old US of A.![]()
