Hi guys, Well I'm in Hawaii for another week  , and wanted to do some shopping for bike jackets, wet weather gear, helmet etc but have no idea where to start.Can anyone tell me a good place to go and have a look??  Thanks, TWEET

Wow Tweet Don't know how much stuff you would be able to find in the Islands. I would think "not much" but I would try the local phone book yellow pages under motorcycle accessories. Fly alittle further East over to the mailland and California has just about anything and everything! |

Good luck finding anything Sportbike related there. The islands are all about Harleys. Sportbikes are just starting to make inroads there, and those riders get hasseled all the time by riders from the "Dark Side". Also, no helmet law - very weird to see someone flying down the highway with shorts, tank top, slippers (flip-flops), sunglasses, and no helmet  - but that's how they do over there.There is a shop at the Pearlridge Mall called Razor Racing Shop. They cater to road race cars but do have some helmets (mostly gaudy Suomy stuff) and some jackets, but you'll be sorely disappointed at the selection if you make the trip out there from Honolulu.

G'day Gents, Thanks for your replies, I figured it was going to be hard to find anything around here that wasn't for Hardly riders. I looked up Yellow Pages, they have like 5 listings.....All small bike resellers and a couple of new bike dealers that are located in midle of nowhere, and they stock very little.. Will have to go shopping next time I am on the mainland. Thanks again

My initial reaction is that whatever you need, you will find on the mainland for less $$. I know a fellow on Oahu who rents bikes, and he gets his bikes from the mainland. He says everything bike related is cheaper off the islands. He did say used bikes are pretty cheap, though.
