I recently purchased the Blackbird a few days ago from a friend who owns a marine and powersports business. One of his former customers had some carb work done on the bike and when the problem didnt get fixed, it wasnt the carbs to begin with it was the timeing chain, he decided not to pay for the service so legaly my friend didnt have to give him the bike back. The guy took my friend to small claims court and won the bike. Wanting to get rid of the headache he sold it to me for $400.00 USD (Thats not a miss print).

Anywho the "customer" decided not to give paper work, fairings, lights, and you guessed it the cluster. Out of everything I need to get the bird back to its greatness the gauge is by far the most difficult, not to mention expensive, part to find. I have tried everywhere and im running out of ideas.

I live in New England on the east coast (US) and need some help. Also do any other model clusters fit the bird?

Any ads or ideas would be great, thank you.

Best bet is ebay man.
There were a couple sold on there lately actually..
You can fit any dash from any year birds on the bike, just need to do some modding to the loom and obviously get the propper loom for the cluster.
What are you gonna do with the paperwork then?
Seems to me like you "stole" it for that money man!

Who won the bike,the customer or your mate?
"Depending" what the customer ask for,
I would not be to happy paying a mechanic either if I asked him to fix a
problem and he fixed something else,
Sort of relying on their professional knowledge,
It's not your carb Mate it's your timing chain!

Still would of paid though rather than losing my baby,

My friend the mech won, judge ruled in his favour because the customer didnt pay, so I bought it off my friend for $400 USD.

Still nothing on ebay re: the clocks, at the mo.
If I see one, I'll let you know man.

Yes, you can buy from ebay UK, as you would in the US, with your US account.
Actually the accounts are global, you can also use it on e the german, french etc...
Just make sure you are clear one the postage man..
