Have to give credit where it is due.

I needed a new set of tyres for my bird quite urgently (D205's had rapidly worn through to the canvas). PR2CT rear was not available for at least two weeks, so I settled on the Roadsmarts. they had the front in stock, but had to order the rear, which they said could be delivered to them the next day. I ordered the tyres on Tuesday and booked the bird in to be re-shod at 8:30 on Thursday morning.

I arrived at the service centre and handed over the keys and told them I would be back by 9:30 to pick the bike up. No worried was the reply, if anything happens we will give you a call. Unfortunately i got a call 5 minutes later saying that the rear tyre had not been delivered yet and do I want to put on a differet set of tyres? No, I said, the only other tyres they had in stock were HPX's which I didnt want. I was told they will see what they can do. When they rang back, they said that they should be able to get the right tyre later in the afternoon. Crap, I said, I have to leave for work at 1:00pm Another phone call comes in a bit later from the service dept saying the bird will be ready to be picked up at 11:00am.

When I picked up the bird, I was speaking to the guy in the service department who said that the sales department had actually forgotten to order the tyre for me, and due to this stuff up, he actually drove 20 minutes to another motorbike shop and got the tyre for me, drove back and fitted and buffed the tyre for me.

this is something that he didnt have to do, and as such, I thought that actions like that (which are sadly lacking in todays society) should be applauded.

WELL DONE TO THE GUYS IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT FREESTYLE HONDA - FRANKSTON.

Sounds like you have a Service department that actually lives up to the name "Service"

Next time I am down under and need some work done I will make sure I go there.

Thats the kind of service that you should expect.I bend over backwards for all of my customers and go out of my way whenever required,no hesitation.I am sick to death of the shitty customer service in the motorcycle industry. My local honda dealer is absolutely useless, they do not keep stock of any blackbird parts, whenever i need anything i have to wait for it to come in.I recently had to wait 3 weeks for a set of front pads. They are only 2 minutes from my work but i am probably better off driving an hour out of my way to another dealer. The trouble is i ride my bike every day and don't have a car, and when i need parts, i need them now. When i bought the bike from them they said yeah we keep all the blackbird bits in stock so if you need anything....I'm starting to wonder if i bought a blackbird or a black sheep.Cheers to Frankston honda dealership for looking after you nutter and fixing thier own cock up.I wish there were more of them.
