I am totally impressed with the ride after this install but.............
The included instructions where more complex than the actual task was
I did not record my final spacer length. ( I will remove and measure this and post my measurements soon )
I had to go in and adj reassemble...measure......disasemble, adj....reassemble etc
I thought it would save some one MUCHO time if those that have installed these springs to record the final dimensions, rider weights, sag measurements etc.

I had the Gold Valves on my 99, but I did not have the springs.
Now I have springs but no Gold Valves. ( story of my life,...never happy )
I am so pleased with the springs and had plans for the gold valves but now I will probably be swapping an RC 51 front end soon.
The prices for the RC 51 bits may sway my decision though |

"Gold valves" is the name for RaceTech's after market suspension valves. They have much larger ports than the stock valves and rely much more on the shim stack to regulate damping. Their theory is that the smaller ported stock valves suffer from hydraulic lock at high oil velocities. They are well made and they do work, but offer no external adjustment. You have to disassemble the forks/shock to change settings.
I have the Suspension Tek version.(same thing, different company)

Also, if anybody else needed to know, the fork caps are 24mm.

I got mine from University Motors in Fargo. I don't remember how much, but it was cheaper than what race tec would sell them for and Gary McCoy is pretty easy to work with.
