| I was wondering if anyone (i realize this sound immature) knows a good place to get stunt sprockets for my bird and what sizes to use.. I was wheeling from 1st through 3rd and it gets going way too fast ...front tire chirps and little smoke as it touches down at 160 - 170 kmh. slight wobble .. would like to slow it down a little and still have some fun. |

the reason you have to go that fast to maintain the wheelie is because the bird has a very high balance point. your gonna have to chase the wheelie no matter what size your sproket is i would suggest a steering dampener to cure the wobble. but if your really looking to throw it up easier i would say just grab a set of vortex sprokets -1 in the front and +2 in the rear

I can tell you from firsthand experience that you can put a 12/49 combo with the stock chain length. First gear is basically useless, unless you have a slick and wheelie bars which is why I know those gears will work |

eek 12: 49 !
sounds like fun - i must try it sumday
i drive round in 3rd gear most of the time ( 20 to 70mph ) - i am tempted to lower the gearing so i get more punch in 3rd on full throttle when i do crack it open on th eodd occasion ( im very lazy and dont like changing gears u see)

the bird is not a stunt bike...
my advice, buy a stunt bike (cbr600RR or F4i, RC51, or similar) and save the bird for canyon carving/commuting...
you'll do better stunts, and won't risk damaging the bird or hurting yourself as badly...

add 5okg lead weight to the rear of the bike :-)
increase front preload to max
lower the rear and jack the front
getrenthal style pull back flat bars
steering damper
de link the brakes
get thumb operated rear brake !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
basically u need to turn the bird into a motocross bike
i dont ask why ..... i just reply |
