So the story goes, I rode my bird the other day and low and behold I lay her down. Nothing too bad, just a few scratches here and there, didn't hit anything and I took most of the punishment (skin grows back, fairings don't) I was only doing about 15-20mph turning right. So now my what appears to be front forks are off. You can see the handle bars aren't even anymore!? i.e. my left grip is some 15-25 mm further forward than the right. I don't think my forks are bent, or could they be?

Perhaps it is your right clip-on that was pushed back when you fell on your right side. There is a little gap that the tab on your clip-on goes into and it provides fore/aft movement of the clip-on, when the pinch bolt is loosened. It might have pushed back upon impact.

Your forks may have just twisted in the triple clamps. Loosen everything up and retighten. There are probably instructions on this forum somewhere for how to do that correctly.

It doesn't matter, though. The bike is no good to you anymore and you should sell it to me for around $50.

Nice try. however I will be selling her soon to get a 2000 or later titanium bird. I think they're the nicest. Yeah I'll try to loosen everything off and shake things a bit, but it's really hard with a busted hand.

ride the bike hands free - does she pull or lean - use rear brake hands free to test this also

if the bike doesnt feel blanced then the forks could be out a line - maybe check back wheel alignment
