You know that stock is 17/45 right? Is your front sprocket a steel alloy one, or is it also an aluminum alloy one like the rear you've chosen? Just a word of advice (I've put 49,000 on my '99 XX), those aluminum alloy racing sprockets are about a third of the weight, but they also last about a third of mileage. Your chain will outlive those lightweight aluminum alloy sprocket(s) 3x over. OEM is the way to go for sprockets...fancy chains are fun though. I think the gold chains are sick (currently have an XK), but it was about $50 more than the "boring" silver. Next time around I'm going boring and saving the money for a third of a track day entrance fee There's my $.02
Cheers,
Blaine

Clean the clutch push rod and spocket area while you are in there.
Why a chain change at 11k? I treated mine bad and got 18 k on the OEM.
I would not install that alloy sprocket. It will wear faster, so you will be changing parts again soon.
Remember to use a rivet chain, not a master clip. And take time to align the rear wheel well.

Blaine | yea i know the stock is 17/45 witch is about a 2.647 ratio and i wanted more tack off less top end so I went with the 16/46 witch is about 2.875 ratio. the front sprocket is steel alloy. i got the chain I picked because it is zero strech and is more than enough strength for my bike and is supose to be a little lighter than stock.

Remember to use a rivet chain, not a master clip. And take time to align the rear wheel well. | the chain is rusted and wasnt took care of by the 2 previous owners and the oem rear sprocket is worn and need replaced. also the chain has been streaching lately about ever 3 weeks I have to tighten it started this about 3 months ago. also thanks for the cleaning info.
