Hi all,
I have been using only Bridgestone BT-57 on my 97XX since it had 4k miles and now has 45k miles. I installed Michelin Pilot Roads last weekend and have only put 75 miles on them as of today (commute to/from work.) I don't know if it's my imagination that so far I feel my XX to be lighter, smoother and easier to turn in, comparing to the BT-57 I had. For those who use Pilot Road, do you feel the same thing?
Thanks.

my pilot road's are the favorites of all the tires I've run. But I'm sure part of what you're sensing is just the new tire feel that always seems to transform handling when first installed.

Yup, as new tires haven't flattened out in the centers yet, and are tippier.

Thanks. May be it's the new tires but I don't remember having this feeling while replacing my BT-57 with BT-57...

Good choice of tires. I have Michelins too and couldn't be happier with the grip, handling, and wear.

I haven't used those tires (michelin) but they do seem popular with bird owners and everyone seems to like them. I just fitted some BT014's and noticed a big difference from the bridgestones that were on previously. The model that I had on before is escaping me at the moment but they were the tires that came stock on my 99. The new ones feel a lot better on mine and I suspect that much of it is like Taetor and Lois said. New tires haven't developed the flat center. One other thing with new tires is that the rubber compound on the sidewalls is super fresh and should provide better compression on bumps.

BT 57s are junk. I have run the Pilot Roads & Road 2s now and I will run these tires until they get to expensive to replace. Then maybe BT 021s. They are decent sport touring tires.
