I just went through my first set of Pirellis Diablo Stardas and Have to say they were great tires. I got 7500 miles out of them and they are totally gone. I will post pictures later as I had to have the Bike towed Home from work. The tires were that bad.

They go fast, don't they?

That's mine after almost 12,000, but the pictured damage happened in the last 400, yes FOUR HUNDRED, miles.

I agree that they are great tires. I have only 2,000 miles on them so far and they hardly show any signs of wear. My riding is 90% commuting, though, so at this rate I should be able to get 10,000+ out of them. I find that they make the bike turn quicker, giving the impression that the bike is lighter than it is. However, when riding in crosswinds or on a road with surface irregularities, the handling can seem a little nervous. I would definitely buy them again.

Well, I don't know. I went 1500 prior to TBME, went to the coast, rode there and back, put about 700 miles on them there, rode Phoenix there, back and there again, and put about 2500 in between and then they went. I don't do alot of burnouts or such, but I weigh 250 lbs, too. I was actually pretty impressed with the mileage. I hope to get as much out of the Pilots that replaced them.
