About brake pads.
Cyclegear has two different part numbers for front and rear pads.
The rear pads I bought have a much thicker pad than the front ones. But the service manual says they are both supposed to be 4 0r 5 mm. I don't remember if it was 4 or 5 but front and back was the same. What is the true story?

I've always put the same ones front and back, can't imagine thicker would hurt anything though, as long as they fit right.

They are normally all the same pad. I used EBC HH pads last time I bought some. I also rotate mine FR - FL - R - FR to even out the wear.

There is a difference in the OEM parts. Aftermarket ones are interchangeable.

That is correct, but ONLY for the carb.-version. The difference is that the original frontpad is a little bit thinner than the aftermarket ones, or the original rear pads. However, it will fit.....
Standard is the front 8mm, rear 9.4mm thick.
The injection-BB has another number of brake-pad, but all of them will fit. I use and sell Ferodo FDB 2098 (ST) for all brakes on all Blackbirds.
