    No problem.
Yes it was a light but steady rain so the roads had seen enough to be washed clean.

^^^I've since up the pressure to 42 psi on the M7RR tires but not had a chance to ride in the rain. When it does rain here its difficult and dangerous to get down my driveway and than dirt road to the main paved road. My rear tire is about worn out and won't last for the devil's ride so ordering a new one. I think i got about 2k out of it.

Picked up another PR4 GT rear today for the run as well. May look into the battlax T30 EVO as a set for the next pair.

I have Metzeler Roadtec Z6 that the previous owner installed wayyyy back in 2004. I will probably replace them this month even though tread is fine. Would you guys trust 12 yr old tires? (I know, I spelt it wrong for you guys across the pond! Tyres)

Wanting to try Avon's this time - which ones should I look for? Only the Storm's or are there other choices for the 'bird?

I just took off Avon Ultra Sport tires. They were ok nothing impressive about them AFAIC. I put on Bridgestone T30 EVO's and it's a different between night and day. Check out the T30 EVO threads for more info. There is no other reason for me to look else where for tires. To me the T30's are that good in wet, dry and handling. Check them out.

What air pressure are you running? I have 5700miles on the EVO and it still has at least 1000 miles left. AP=42lbs. Was told by Dunlop tech to run max pressure on the street. Other wise you're just wearing you tire out. Those miles are from my trip with about 70# load also.

Running 42 psi front and rear. Just had new suspension so that may improve my tyre wear, but then heading to the south of France at the end of August for some major twisties so not really hoping for any improvement

Just put a set of PR4s on mine last week. Nicely scrubbed in now after three hundred or so miles. These feel much better than the ancient hockey pucks that were on the bike when I bought it towards the end of last season.

Go the Z8's. I did 30,000 kays on Z6's then went to Z8's when they came out, Now have 75,000 kays up on the Z8's, Magic tyre that dont slip in any conditions I ride in, I ride in some pretty shitfull conditions,
Old tyres go very hard and wont have the road gripping like a new tyre will have,

re: Honda Super Blackbird tire preference 2016

Hi all... Long time since I've posted so hear it goes. I've got well over 100,000 miles on my bird that I've owned since birth and mine came stock with the original Michelin macadam 90x. I've been thru the entire Michelin food chains since...100x, hpx, powers, roads, road 2's, 3 sets of pr3's and spooned on a fresh set of pr4's before my first major trek this past May. I need to back up a bit, my riding buddy "doc" is now riding a 2015 s1000rr Beemer that he added to his stable may 2015 which now has 35,000 miles on the clock. He put a set of pr3's on June of '15 after the rockstones wore out with just 3k on them and with his torque monster managed 8k out of the rear and 10k out of the front fully loaded. He then spooned a set of 4's on July '15 and the 4 (rear) was literally flattened out after just 3k miles. He went back to 3's and they wear evenly, round and predictable...no issues.
now for my opinion. I can't stand the front tire feedback from the 4 and I've got 8k on them already this year. And the back has flattened out already. The front feels everything and inspired thoughts of running flat (and I run 42/42) and on slow turn ins in greasy asphalt it just plain freaks me out. Still awesome in the wet like the 3 and I run 100mph cruise on the interstates with confidence but for me, I'm going back to the 3's. My last set of PR3's yielded 14000 miles, yes, 14000 miles front and rear. This will be my fourth set. I've ridden around superiors north shore, Hurons north shore, manitoullin island, the Muskoka region and to guess bay and back since late May on the 4's. 'Bird's are very sensitive to front tire wear and warpage. I'm a Michelin guy. Until they come out with a PR5, I'm going back to the PR3's!

My dog always pee’s on my wheels before a trip...why is that?
