    Gina
I've made the switch. Much like you I've had great results with the michelins. Averaging about 12 to 15k on the last rear and 30k on the front. I changed over to the T30's after reading rollins ride report. Im happy to relate the same results good mileage so far and very good traction. We'll find out how they react to tar snakes here soon as we're getting back to our normal 90's now.
Tip in with these is a lot easier than the PR's not scary but you don't need to work it you just think your line and they go. So be csreful the first couple time turning in these don't require as much input for response. You'll find it easier to drop in tight if you need now but they don't feel vague when pushed so far as i have found.

This year I've hardly driven any of them, so don't know too much about the newest tires on the Blackbird.
But for now I prefer the Dunlop Sportsmart 2. The new version of this tire will be available here in 2 weeks (Dunlop Sportsmart 2 Max).
This tire is a great compromise between a track-tire and a touring tire.
Early next year I will be going to Dunlop in the South of France to test them myself on the roads and on the track.
I hope this ends better than last time when I crashed and had 20 fractures. I totalled their bike too.....
Any news on the sportsmart 2? and Bee's Icouldn't find rollins report on the t30/t30evo/t30gt. Seems we have three types of t30 or I'm reading it wrong. I still have plenty of tread on the m7rr's, I'm hoping to wear the sides out by the end of summer if i can get some seat time. Not looking for a high mileage tire.

Hi all, from New Brunswick , Canada. Have roughly 3500 Klms on a set of Michelin Pilot Road 3's purchased 1.5 years ago. Previously always run Bridgestone Battlax, I run Three Givi bags and they have worn terrible scalloping, I keep 42 PSI in them wth my suspension refreshed every 2-3 years. Very disappointed in them, this winter doing mtne work and took wheels into a local dealer as recommended by Michelin. They mentioned air pressure likely low...however I keep them 42 psi. I also was told it is common due to possible weight as a sport tourer. Anyone ever run into this with Michelin or other brands.

Re: Honda Super Blackbird tire preference 2016

I've noticed cupping or more correctly "scalloping" on all the tires I've run on the XX. Started with a set of Dunlops as a OEM replacements to what was on the bike at time of purchase. The front one cupped by seasons end. Went to Pilot Road 2/3's..same again the front cupped at seasons end. Been running Pilot Power 2CT's, these are cupped by seasons end. Going with Pilot Power 3's this year...and they will cup? Google info seems to indicate that cupping or scalloping is the result of normal wear and tear on the tire if your are leaning the tire into corners and/or braking hard and that it follows the tread pattern design. More wear on the leading edges of the tread pattern blocks, where there is less flex, to less wear on the trailing edge of the tread pattern blocks due to more flex. It is, according to some/most, not an issue due to bike suspension state of tune (fresh or worn parts) or tire pressure. That said, I think that having a good suspension and proper tire pressures will effect overall tire life and performance. Dunlop Inc. state the following on one of their sites:

""You may not be able to entirely avoid cupping. Tire cupping or irregular wear is a somewhat common occurrence on all vehicles. On a four-wheel vehicle, you are advised to rotate your tires periodically to even out wear. Unfortunately, you do not have this luxury with a motorcycle because front and rear tires, unlike those on most four-wheel vehicles, are not interchangeable. However, there are steps that can be taken to minimize cupping and uneven wear on a motorcycle: Maintain your motorcycle and particularly your front and suspension. Avoid hard braking whenever possible. Braking causes the tire to grab and wear in one direction. When braking is applied to the front tire, the load transfer over-flexes the tire and increases the tendency for cupping and uneven wear. Maintain your tire pressures. Under inflation and overloading of motorcycle tires are significant causes of cupping and uneven wear, particularly in association with hard braking and/or trailer use.
Once a tire begins to show signs of uneven wear, even following these steps may not improve the condition.
Tire companies can, and are, helping to minimize cupping and uneven wear but you, the rider, must do your part. Following the aforementioned guidelines will help avoid uneven wear."

Re: Honda Super Blackbird tire preference 2016

Only scalloping I have ever noticed was on the fronts. Went through 3 sets of Pr4's but typically got 40 to 50k out of tire. Last one dropped to 30k. I have always ran them at 42psi. And we also double up a lot me and the misses

Re: Honda Super Blackbird tire preference 2016

I have used a second Hand Pirelli Diablo Strada on the back and since i doen 15000 km. I am 120 kg in weight plus my GIVIs. soft drive and hard drive and the tyre finally gave up. Now Im trying a Dunlop RoadSmart 3 and see how it is. But I recomend Pirelli DIablo Strada for touring. Not so good on hard driving and big lean angles but good on the Highway and on the rain and also decent grip on cold wwather.

PS: i am going to put Supercorsa SP or SC on my Canyon wheels to see how the bird will behave on this tyres udner hard driving

But those longs days on the highway are only for getting me to where the big lean angles are! I gotta have a tire that does both very well.
