I was looking up oem sprocket part numbers online and I found 2 for each sprocket, both say the same # of teeth, what would the difference be aside from a couple dollars? (prices are from Service Honda Home of the CR500AF 500AF 500AFX Junior-X - Honda Motorcycle Parts) I bought aftermarket ones last time but I think the oem ones held up better so I'm going back, just want to make sure I order the right ones.

front (17t) :
23801-mat-000 $39.77
23801-mat-760 $41.80

rear (45t)
41201-mat-670 $78.83
41201-mat-a00 $73.62

thanks,
Taetor

The first part numbers you listed for both front and rear sprockets respectively are for years '97-'98. The second part numbers you listed are for years '99+. I'm not sure what the difference would be, but I would choose the ones specifically for your '97 just to be safe.
